I've Discovered eBay!

I made my first sucessful bid on eBay today. Now I'm hooked. Like I need another hobby to take my time away from writing. But I think it's so cool to be able to buy anything you want from the comfort of your home. So we'll see if I get the final bid, but either way it was a cool experience.

My oldest child is starting JK next week, so I keep telling myself that I'll have more time to write then. I'll have to ensure that I don't turn on the internet during my youngest child's nap time so that I can focus solely on writing.

Maybe chanting will help.
Must finish WIP. Must finish WIP.

Chow for now,
Marcy

Hi there! I'm another new blogger/author and another Ontario gal. Sounds like we're practically neighbours. Niagara Cavaliers. Who could resist those little puppy faces?
Best of luck on your contest entry. Entering is a fun challenge and great first step. And winning is the be-all! (I've had 2 wins on e-Harl.)
I've steered away from e-Bay, but I must confess to having fallen into the black hole of blogs lately.
There is so much info on them I hop from one to the next and leave almost no time to write--even my own blog!
Ah well, kids back to school tom. and hopefully...no, definitely will establish a routine!
I'll check back in to see how you fared in your contest. Break a leg! Ah, nope, thats stage-speak, not sure what writer-speak is? Break a keyboard?
GOOD LUCK! will have to do ;-)

Hi Marcy, got your note...how sad is this, I'm a tad techno-challenged and I'm still trying to work out the kinks of the site etc my very ambitious husband and his talented friend pulled together for me. Not at all a step I'm convinced I'm ready for. Long story short, in the asklainey column, I only get an IP address, not an email, which is why I'm replying here. Next contact, use lainey at laineybancroft dot com (all together of course ;)
Same course, same instructor. I enjoyed Tom and feel I learned a lot. AND we are neighbours! We lived a few blocks from Collegiate for years, but moved to Welland a short time ago! Small world!
I've scribbled off and on for years, but decided to take myself seriously about a year ago, after the class and a win on the harlequin writing round robin circuit (you should try it, tons of fun and terrifically nice ladies) I submitted to superromance and got a lovely rejection...yes, there really is such a thing, the editor said very positive things about my writing, dialogue etc, but felt I lacked sustainable conflict. In retrospect, I agree. Right now I have a requested full ms (chick-lit/womens-lit) with an agent, so I'm in the nail biting stage waiting to hear back!
I'd love to hear where you're at and what your target is! I think we're going to see an excellent list of Ontario authors soon. My cp is in Pickering, and my guess, she's pretty close. She sent her last ms to the Harlequin critique service, so we're waiting to hear about that too.
