I've been selected to pitch my manuscript to the Harlequin American Romance Senior Editor on Thursday in an online pitch session!
I'm so flipping excited...and nervous. Wait...very, very nervous.
What will I tell her about my story that she doesn't already know from my synopsis? Will I be able to type fast enough? Form a complete thought? I'm definitely going to need advice from my pitch-savy writing friends.
Do you have any pitching pearls of wisdom you can pass along?

Er...stop the worrying. It'll be amazing. And afterwards you'll kick yourself for fretting (Rae is the best at prepping and holding hands!) jx GO FOR IT! WoooHooo

Marcy, wishing you lots of luck and pitch goodness for your pitch! I'm sure you'll be fine. I've only done one pitch and that was to an editor in real life, so I haven't got any large pearls for you. All I can suggest is that you know your story and your characters inside out. I'm sure you'll be fine. :-)
Good luck Marcy! My only thought is to have something written down - bullet points so you can "see" things quickly 'cos the nerves will be furious. But I'm sure you've done that already. Another tip - a strong G&T before you start....but on second thoughts maybe not! lol! Congrats again - Caroline x
Thanks everyone! I'm taking all of your advice to heart. Trying to keep the nerves in check, got the motivations down pat, G&T...hadn't thought about that. Hey, I could use a stiff drink right about now! But I'll save that for after the pitch.
